A Fairy Tale
Concept:
The player is taking control over two fairies at the same time, one burning with fire, one freezing with ice. Those two opposite companions find a wounded being one day in the dark part of the forest, and decide to help it. Yet moving the little being is a challenge in itself, do the fairies want to be patient and slowly build up trust to the small thing, or do they use their powers to make the little being do what they want. |
Game Play:
This game is played on a Game Pad, each fairy corresponds to a joystick respectively. Pressing said joystick will unleash the power of the corresponding fairy, allowing the player to move faster, to freeze or burn certain objects along the way. The little companion, has a relationship AI and builds up trust or hate, depending on the way the fairies handle their little companion. The being has a separate relationship to each fairy. If it likes the fairy it will follow it, if it dislikes the fairy it will flee from it. Either emotion has its advantages and can be used to solve puzzles differently. |
Game Design:
This Game is designed to make the player understand and master the controls of moving two objects with two joysticks. This is a very hard task, and even more challenging if one is in charge of a small creature with very sensitive emotions. The visuals of this game are inspired by popup books and allows this 2D styled game to admit a feeling of depth. |
